PART 3

I-30 in Fort Worth. Camp Bowie Boulevard was not named for David Bowie or the guy who looked like David Bowie who talked about "elimination."

Look at the water tower just standing there looking ridiculous!

I-30 emerges on the west side of Fort Worth.

Our mandatory Sesame Street reference: Ernie's Plumbing! This is on I-30.

I-20 in Weatherford, Texas, population 30,000.

I-20 near Millsap, which was not named for Ronnie Milsap. The frontage at right was once US 80. There's also a town near here called Cool, as in "pooing is."

The old US 80 bridge over the Brazos River.

I-20 frontage approaching US 281. This is old US 80.

The frontage continues at US 281.

Our frontage sprouts a ramp to I-20.

I-20 overlays old US 80 near Santo.

Sesame Street had a Gordon. This exit intersects Clayton Mountain Road. The Electric Company had a Clayton. The frontage at right was again old US 80.

This Chevron station at old US 80 & Clayton Mountain Road had been abandoned since at least 2008, according to Google Street View photos.

I-20 near Strawn.

This ruined building is along old US 80 near Olden.

I-20 near Cisco. It appears the frontage here was not old US 80.

The frontage here probably was old US 80.

Frontage on the right is likely old US 80.

Not sure here, but a stretch of frontage lurks near here called FM 880, as if it was once US 80.

I-20 gives us a good view of Putnam. The street you see probably was old US 80.

An isolated exit with the same frontage setup.

It gets a little more interesting just after the exit from the previous photo, as the frontage simply ends at a barrier. Old US 80 was probably a frontage road on the left.

Monster traffic jam on I-20 in Tye.

This sign is important for two reasons: Its condition, and its mention of stink. The sign is for Stink Creek Road.
