PITTSBURGH trip

PART 12
Old Clairton Road in Jefferson Hills.
Heading the other way on Old Clairton.
Southeast on PA 51. The bridges are for the PA 43 tollway.
Scotia Hollow Road.
Scotia Hollow at Ridge. Jefferson Hills borrows a page from the Dravosburg playbook for its stop sign font. It couldn't be because it's in the same township, because both municipalities are boroughs outside any township. I used to think such places were called boroughs because they burrow into a township.
Gill Hall Road.
Rail bridge over Gill Hall.
Rail bridge over Peters Creek Road.
Another rail span over Peters Creek Road.
Deer on Peters Creek Road.
Peters Creek Road becomes Piney Fork Road, and there's a good exhibit just around this bend. Just you watch!
Both the road and the creek use this tunnel under a rail line! The creek is to the left and can't be seen here. There's also a long-abandoned rail tunnel nearby known as Green Man's Tunnel because of an urban legend about a well-liked man who existed in real life and had been grievously injured and blinded by high-voltage wires as a youngster. When he was an adult, local teens kept buying him beer.
Inside the Piney Fork Road tunnel.
Piney Fork Road again.
Probably still Piney Fork Road.
I'm not sure where this is, but this deer appears to be dancing. The only thing missing is a disco ball.
Washington Avenue in Finleyville as it loses PA 88.
Mingo Church Road maybe?
Pretty sure this is Mingo Church Road.
Maybe Sugar Run Road?
It seems like we were on Sugar Run Road for a while, but I'm not sure if this is it.
Possibly Sugar Run Road.
Sugar Run at Park View.
On I-70 in Ohio, this appears to be some bridge replacement project.
